Who is responsible for processing my data?

Plantbeeb, located at Voshol 37 2771 NK Boskoop, is responsible for processing personal data as described in this privacy statement.

Whose personal data do we process?

We collect data from users of the app/website. Additionally, we process data from our business relations. We do not intend to collect personal data from users under the age of 16 unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. We cannot always verify whether someone is over 16. Therefore, we encourage parents to supervise their children's online activities. This helps prevent us from collecting personal data from children without permission. What personal data do we collect?

With your consent, we collect and share the following data:

• Account: email, first name, last name, IP address, activity on the website.
• Scan history: garden center (location), number of scans, date and time of scans, method of scanning (photo recognition, QR code, or search).
• Chatbot: email, date and time of question asked and answer provided.

We explicitly request your consent to collect and share your data. Upon your first use of our app/website, you will be given the option to agree to the processing and sharing of your data.

For what purpose do we process your data?

We collect this data to:

• Manage and secure your account and provide you with a personalized experience within our app/website;
• Gain insights into your use of our app/website so that we can improve our services and marketing activities.

Note: We never sell your data to third parties.

With whom do we share your data?

With your consent, we collect and share data with the garden center where you (re)activate the app and for which the app is developed. The garden center may only use this information for:

• Customer profiling and direct marketing (targeted marketing communication);
• Improving customer experience at the garden center and customer service.

Note: The garden center never sells your data to third parties.

Sometimes we need extra help, and external partners assist us, which may require the use of personal data. We only share data necessary for the tasks that this partner performs for us.

How do we protect your data?

We handle your personal data with care. Therefore, we continuously take appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data against loss, unlawful use, and unauthorized access.

These measures include physical (access) security, the use of passwords, a password policy, encryption of passwords, and data encryption from users and Plantbeeb.

How long do we retain your data?

We do not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. If you do not log in to your account for two years, we will delete your account and personal data.

What rights do you have?

Below, we explain what rights you have and how to exercise them:

1. Right to information: You have the right to know how we handle your data. This is explained in this privacy statement.
2. Right of access: You may see what personal data we hold about you. Upon request, we will provide you with a copy. Data used for criminal investigations or required for legal matters will not be shared.
3. Right to rectification (improve or supplement personal data): If your data is incorrect, you can ask us to correct or supplement it. If you have an account, you can largely adjust the data yourself.
4. Right to erasure: We must delete your data if the retention period has expired or if we no longer need it. You can also request us to delete your data. We will do so unless a law prevents us or if we have another important reason.
5. Right to restriction: You can request us to temporarily stop processing your data, for example, if the data is incorrect or no longer needed. We will always comply unless we have a valid reason to continue.
6. Right to data portability: You can request us to transfer your data to you or someone else. This concerns data you have provided to us, which is processed automatically. It applies to data processed based on your consent or an agreement.
7. Right to object: If you disagree with how we use your data or believe we are not handling your privacy properly, you can object. Clearly describe your objection. This right only applies to legitimate interest grounds or processing for direct marketing purposes. If you object to direct marketing, we will stop processing your data for that purpose.
8. Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent for processing your data at any time via customer service.

To ensure that a request is made by you, we ask you to adequately identify yourself. We respond to your request as quickly as possible, but no later than within four weeks. Such a request can be submitted via klantenservice@plantbeeb.com.

If you have questions about your data, you can always email us. Send an email to klantenservice@plantbeeb.com. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Can we change this privacy policy?

This privacy statement may change from time to time if legislation changes or if Plantbeeb offers new services. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email.
